Okay, some description is needed for these ward talent show pictures. First of all, there were two things going on that night; a clue game and the talent show. Rich was Professor Prune (adamant corrector of English grammar) and I (Lisa) was Sister Pheasant (aspiring musician). The first [picture is our family skit. It was very short and involved an invisible bench--the kids loved doing this!
This shot includes everyone who played a role in the Clue Game.
This picture is from the Relilef Society Skit. I was Ruth Goodheart and Rich was my husband who showed up on stage only long enough to smile and then die, leaving me a widow for the remainder of the skit. The skit was a light hearted look at Visiting Teaching for the right reasons. VT's were Alma Younger and Paula Tarsus. After meditating on what Charity Never Faileth must really mean, they visited with sincerity and found ways to connect with the sisters they served. They introduced me (Ruth) to a younger sister, Bubbles Brightly (who they also visited) who needed mentoring with homemaking skills. I taught her everything I knew and the skit ended happily:) It was a very busy but very fun evening.
